Champions of the 50th Anniversary Tennis.az League Crowned
The 50th Anniversary Tennis.az League, featuring special events, competitions, and prizes, has come to an end. Held throughout February and March with a total prize fund of 5,000 AZN, the tournament saw Ziya Alakbarov crowned champion of the First League, earning his eighth Tennis.az League title.
Ziya Alakbarov's results:
- def. Zaur Bayramov — 4-6, 7-5, 6-2
- def. Irfan Samadov — 7-5, 7-5
- lost to Zaur Mammadzada — 7-6, 0-6, 3-6
- def. Yusif Rzayev — 4-6, 6-2, 6-4
- def. Umut Gundogan — 6-2, 6-1
The champions of the remaining divisions were decided during the League Cup tournaments held on March 30–31 at the tennis courts near Zabitlar Park.
- Second League: Huseyn Hasanov defeated Aziz Manafov 6-7, 6-4, 11-9 in the final.
- Third League: Kamran Akhundov defeated Nijat Hasanov 6-3, 6-1.
- Fourth League: Kazakhstan's Beknurkhan Kemal defeated Rima Karimli 6-2, 1-6, 10-7.
- Fifth League: Ukraine's Daniil Shakira defeated Aghababa Babayev 6-2, 6-4 to win the title.
At the closing ceremony, champions received a trophy, a wallet, and 500 AZN, runners-up were awarded 300 AZN, while the third- and fourth-place finishers each received 100 AZN.
