Azerbaijan Promoted to Group III of the Davis Cup
The Davis Cup tournament held in Montenegro has come to an end.
The Azerbaijani national team competed in Group IV of the competition. Represented by Kenan Gasimov and Safar Rasulov, Azerbaijan lost its opening match against Kosovo but later defeated Albania and Iceland to advance to the next stage.
In the final match, Azerbaijan faced the Armenian national team. Showing a determined performance, Safar Rasulov defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-2, while Kenan Gasimov won his match 6-3, 6-2.
With this impressive victory, Azerbaijan has been promoted to Group III of the Davis Cup. Armenia will remain in Group IV.
