Azerbaijan Hosts Its First Beach Tennis Tournament
On May 12, Tennis.az and the Aquatics Palace jointly organized the first Beach Tennis Tournament in Azerbaijan.
The event brought together 32 players (16 doubles teams). In the final, Umut Gundogan / Mamed Hasanov defeated Parviz Hasanli / Mary Rose del Norte 6-2 to become the champions of this historic inaugural tournament.
Third place was claimed by Aydan Mammadhasanova / Zaur Bayramov.
Following the tournament, the winners received trophies, medals, and special prizes. In addition, all participants were awarded special vouchers to enjoy the facilities of the Aquatics Palace.
