Australian Open: Sebastian Korda Retires in Quarterfinal

The first quarterfinal of the Australian Open has concluded.

Tournament surprise Sebastian Korda faced Russia's Karen Khachanov, who took control of the match by winning the opening two sets 7–6(5), 6–3.

With Khachanov leading 3–0 in the third set, Korda was forced to retire due to a wrist injury, sending the Russian into the semifinals.

Khachanov will next face the winner of the Stefanos Tsitsipas – Jiří Lehečka quarterfinal.
