Australian Open: Novak Djokovic Reaches His 33rd Grand Slam Final
Novak Djokovic advanced to the Australian Open final after defeating American Tommy Paul in the semifinals.
The Serbian star secured a convincing 7–5, 6–1, 6–2 victory, reaching the 33rd Grand Slam final of his career.
Djokovic has won 21 Grand Slam titles so far and, with a victory in the final, will equal Rafael Nadal's record of 22 major titles.
His opponent in the final will be Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas. The two have met 13 times, with Djokovic leading the head-to-head 10–3. The Serbian has also won each of their last eight encounters.
The Australian Open final will be played on January 29 at 12:30 PM (Baku time) at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
