The 9th Tournament of Gardashlar Mebel Doubles Championship 2023 Has Been Held
The 9th tournament of the ranked doubles series “Gardashlar Mebel Doubles Championship 2023” was held on August 6.
A total of 18 doubles teams competed in the tournament. In the final, the Farid Yariyev / Umut Gundogan pair defeated the Ahmad Safiyev / Zaur Mammadov duo 7-5 to claim the championship title.
The champion pair earned 70 ranking points each.
After the 9th tournament, Parviz Hasanli leads the ranking table with 330 points. Vusal Bagirov and Aziz Manafov share the second and third positions with 320 points each. Zaur Bayramov maintained his fourth place in the ranking. The fifth position belongs to the latest champion Farid Yariyev, with 250 points.
It should be noted that at the end of October, the athletes finishing in the top five of the rankings will receive invitations to participate in an amateur tournament to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
